Outdoor Ice Rinks

The City of Forest Lake outdoor skating rinks are open during winter months and are maintained by the Public Works Department. Warming houses are available during set hours which are listed below. Bring your own skates as rentals are not available. 

Rink Addresses:

Beltz Park Address: 720 11th Ave SE, Forest Lake, MN 55025 - Recreational Skating ONLY - No Hockey Sticks/Sport Sticks or Pucks

Tower Park Address: 843 4th St. SW, Forest Lake, MN 55025 - Recreational Skating and Hockey (two full sheets of ice) 

Warming House Schedule:

Seven days a week | 12-9pm *unless noted otherwise

Warming House Closures: 

With the rise of temperatures over the next 4 days, warming houses will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday (December 24th and 25th). Hockey nets at tower rink will be pulled off the rink on Wednesday and Thursday as well due to ice melt.  

Rink Maintenance:

Scheduled to take place between 8am and 12pm - ice will be open during this time frame, however, you will be asked to leave the ice once maintenance arrives to Zamboni. This process typically takes 60-90min. 

Reason for Rink Closures:

If the air temperature reaches -10 degrees or the combined air temperature and wind chill reach -20 degrees. If unusually warm temperatures are causing skating conditions to be unsafe and heavy amounts of snow. 

Rink Rentals: 

All skating rinks are available for private hourly rentals at $15/hr. *please note that rink maintenance takes place once a day.  If there is a rink rental, we ask that you are off the ice by the rental start time and do not enter onto the ice prior to the rental end time. Rink rentals will be posted at the warming houses as soon as reservations are approved but can also be found below:
