[ARCHIVED] City of Forest Lake Fall Hydrant Flushing

The Public Works Department will be flushing hydrants in the City of Forest Lake beginning Monday, September 26, 2016 and will continue until completed. Hydrant flushing will take place Monday - Friday between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM.

As a result of the line flushing process, residents in the immediate vicinity of the work may experience temporary discoloration of their water. This discoloration consists primarily of harmless silt and air and does not affect the safety of the water. If you experience discoloration in your water after crews have been flushing in your neighborhood, clear the pipes in your home by running cold water in all water faucets for a few minutes.

Your water service should not be interrupted, but a decrease in water pressure may be experienced during the flushing process. If you lose water service or if low pressure persists after flushing is complete, please notify Public Works at (651) 209-9743.
